Linux on a microcontroller via an ARM emulator!:

Emulating a 32bit ARM CPU with a 8bit ATMEL microcontroller. This makes me so happy. He boots ubuntu on an ATMega. Check out this link for photos, including the breadboarded SIMM RAM from a 286.

Building Windows for the ARM Processor Architecture:

A GIANT article from MSDN going in-depth and technical about changes/new thing that MS had to do to make an ARM version of Windows (now named Windows RT). Lots of interesting technical bits in here. Coolest parts I’ve read so far: HID over I²C (this could potentially be cool for embedded platforms in general), new soft-GPU framebuffer support, and a class-complient printer system (no drivers!).
