Neven Mrgan's tumbl: "Wrong"
Just about the most asinine, presumptuous, hubris-filled thing a designer can say is that someone else’s design is “wrong”. That word is reserved for judgments of absolute truth or ethical guidance; for flawed mathematical proofs and crimes. And yet, allow me to declare the following: Jony Ive’s icon grid in iOS 7 is wrong.
This was my first impression on the grid as well. I don’t think the idea is totally off, just the specific grid implementation is flawed.

Surf Pop: Apple’s Stylistic Return to California
Probably the best (and definitely the most optimistic) look at Apple’s design direction based on WWDC 2013. Apple became the standard,at least for a while, and now they have to rebel against themselves. They’re ready to Think Different again.
Deep dive into the murky waters of script loading - HTML5 Rocks
“I know it sounds mundane and simple, but remember, this is happening in the browser where the theoretically simple becomes a legacy-driven quirk-hole.”
Fertile Ground – Marco.org
From the keynote I didn’t really get the impression that Apple was changing very much about the interactions/paradigms of the OS, just the look. Marco says that it’s a pretty big shift. I like the idea of a cognitive reset for developers, and if Marco predicts it, I’ll tend to believe him.
Animal Crossing Part #1 - WELCOME TO CAMP
Amazing literary horror story disguised as a playthrough of Animal Crossing on the DS. Be sure to listen to the audio narration for the first and last parts. They’re done with foley and really set the mood.

The toy car track thing is really cool, the hack is even cooler. I laughed as it keeps getting more involved.
